BROCKTON, MASSACHUSETTS (PLYMOUTH COUNTY) - Around 0700 hours on the morning of Thursday, April 2, 2020 the Brockton Fire Department responded to a reported motor vehicle accident at Centre Street and Sheriden Street. The call initially reported a rollover with a vehicle into a gas pump.
Companies arrived to find a 2-vehicle crash with one vehicle colliding with the gas pump at Trojan Gas located at 530 Centre Street. The occupant self-extricated prior to the fire department's arrival. It did not appear that either of the vehicles had rolled over.
Engine-4 stretched a pre-connected hose line as a precaution. No leaks from the pumps were evident. The occupant of the vehicle that struck the gas pump was transported with non-life threatening injuries. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
