Haz-Mat Incident in City of Newburgh

Newburgh FD responded to Artic Glacier on Friday, March 26th for a reported hazardous ammonia spill. City of Newburgh Police evacuated the Cornerstone Medical Facility and Varrick Apartments, as well as roads around the area of incident. New Windsor PD blocked Route 32 to southbound traffic and Walsh Ave. in Ducktown. The Orange County Haz-Mat Team responded, and Mobile Life ALS treated four patients at the scene. FD stood by until the Haz-Mat Engine arrived. The Haz-Mat team entered the building and controlled the situation.
