March 7, 2026 — At approximately 11:30 p.m., the Stamford Volunteer Fire Department responded to a reported vehicle fire, arriving on scene to find a car with significant fire involvement to the rear of the vehicle. Firefighters worked efficiently to extinguish the flames and prevent further spread, utilizing hose lines to cool hot spots and ensure the fire was fully contained. Crews also conducted overhaul operations to check for any remaining hazards. No injuries were reported, and the incident was brought under control without extension to nearby structures.
