Stamford Fire Provides Mutual Aid Coverage and Responds to Medical Emergency

March 1, 2026 — The Stamford Volunteer Fire Department handled two calls for service, beginning just after midnight when crews responded to Wilmington to provide station coverage while local units were committed to a structure fire. Later that morning at approximately 9:23 a.m., Stamford Fire, along with NBEMS, responded to Readsboro for a reported medical emergency. Crews assisted EMS personnel on scene before clearing and returning to service.
