February 28, 2026 — The Stamford Volunteer Fire Department responded with Engine 2 and Truck 5 to provide mutual aid at a reported structure fire in Readsboro at approximately 11:52 a.m. Upon arrival, Stamford crews worked alongside mutual aid departments to support fire suppression efforts and operations on scene. Firefighters coordinated hose lines, apparatus placement, and aerial operations to assist in controlling the incident and protecting surrounding properties.
