BALDWIN, NY — March 6th — In response to a reported house fire in the Baldwin Fire District, the Oceanside NY Fire Department, located at 65 Foxhurst Rd., Oceanside, NY, United States, 11572, provided mutual aid to the Baldwin Fire Department. Engine 248 and Ladder 2442 were brought in by Assistant Chief Sparberg and Chief of Department Lynch. While the residence was being suppressed, Oceanside firefighters worked with Baldwin units.

In Nassau County, mutual aid responses—in which nearby departments supply extra personnel and equipment during active fires—are a standard component of fire service operations. Before being dismissed from the scene and going back to work, Oceanside crews assisted with designated fireground operations under the authority of incident leadership.
