Morning Structure Fire in Bayonne Displaces Seven; No Injuries Reported

Bayonne, NJ - On 3rd Mar 2026 at approximately 7:31 a.m., the Bayonne Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 15 Chase Court. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered an active fire located in the rear of the first floor of the residential building.
Crews deployed a single handline and were able to quickly bring the fire under control by 7:55 a.m. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
A total of seven residents have been displaced and are currently receiving assistance from the Red Cross and the Bayonne Office of Emergency Management.
Fire investigators have determined that the cause of the fire was accidental.
