At approximately 2100 hours on May 5, 2026, the Camden County Fire Alarm Room dispatched Gloucester Twp and automatic aid units to 59 Cameron Circle, in the Chews Landing section of Gloucester Twp, for the report of a dwelling fire. Several calls were received reporting a house on fire and extending to a neighboring home. Units arrived and reported a single story, single family, frame dwelling with fire showing from Division C. The radiant heat threatened the dwelling on the C exposure and caused the siding of that dwelling to melt. Companies stretched several handlines to the rear and front of the dwelling to protect the exposure and to extinguish the fire. The fire made its way into the attic space from the rear and spread to the front of the dwelling. Units performed extensive overhaul before placing the fire under control at about the 30 minute mark.
