Mutual Aid Response Sends Perth Firefighters to Susan Lane Incident

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

Perth, NY — February 21st — In response to a reported vehicle fire at a building on Susan Lane in the Town of Mayfield, the Perth Volunteer Fire Company automatically provided mutual aid to the Broadalbin-Kennyetto Volunteer Fire Company on February 21. Units were sent out in accordance with Fulton County's mutual aid program, which offers extra resources in the event of a building fire. When firefighters came, they helped workers put out the car fire while shielding the next building from flames and heat.

Local departments frequently respond to vehicle fires, which necessitate prompt intervention because they contain petrol, plastics, and other combustible elements. Units finished their last inspections and went back into action once the fire was contained and the area was secured. There were no reported injuries.
