Structure Fire, Ann St. in City of Newburgh

On Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at approximately 4:41 am, the City of Newburgh Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a structure fire at 357 Ann Street. Upon arrival, fire crews confirmed a working fire along the side of the building that had spread to the interior of the structure.
City of Newburgh Firefighters deployed two hand lines to extinguish all visible fire. With the help of responding mutual aid, the fire was contained before being fully extinguished. One firefighter has been sent to the hospital for evaluation and was subsequently discharged.
Mutual aid and support were provided by Stewart Air Guard Fire Department, Beacon FD, West Point FD and the Dan Leghorn Engine Company. The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time and remains under investigation.
