This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

TUPPER LAKE, NY — February 9th — A domestic fire alarm at 417 Gilpin Bay triggered the Tupper Lake Fire Department, located at 21 Santa Clara Ave., Suite 1. After the home's inhabitants and monitoring services were notified via an alarm system, Engine 163 was sent out. When firefighters came, they thoroughly examined the house to look for signs of smoke, fire, or other dangerous situations.

Crews concluded the alarm was a false activation after finishing the assessment. There were no safety or fire risks within the building. Until teams verify conditions, automatic alarms are handled as possible emergencies. Residents are reminded by fire departments to maintain smoke detectors and test alarm systems on a regular basis to make sure they work correctly in an emergency.
