March 4, 2026 — Members of the Putnam Valley Volunteer Fire Department responded to an early morning motor vehicle accident on Tinker Hill after a vehicle overturned onto its side.
The call came in at approximately 5:00 a.m., with responders arriving to find the vehicle resting on its side in the roadway. Firefighters assisted the driver in safely exiting the vehicle while crews secured the scene and checked for hazards.
The driver was evaluated by emergency personnel at the scene and later transported to the hospital for further evaluation. After the situation was stabilized and the scene cleared, all responding members and apparatus returned to their stations without further incident.
