Three Working Fires in Three Days for Plainview Fire Department

Plainview, NY - The Plainview Fire Department responded to its third working fire in three days on 10 February at approximately 3:10 p.m. after receiving a report of a house fire. The Chief of Department arrived on scene within two minutes of the initial alarm, and the first engine company arrived within six minutes.
Fire crews stretched three hose lines, with two lines placed into operation to combat the blaze. The fire originated within the walls of the structure and extended to a second-floor bathroom before spreading into the attic. Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control and fully extinguish it.
The Plainview Fire Department expressed its appreciation to the mutual aid departments that responded and assisted with the dual response.
