The Elmira Heights Fire Department helped the Big Flats Fire Department and numerous regional agencies in responding to a significant commercial structure fire reported approximately 5:00 a.m. on February 26 near Arnot Mall and Chambers Road. Firefighters went to the location and collaborated with mutual aid crews to manage fire suppression and support operations.

Authorities warned cars to avoid the Chambers Road South area while emergency crews worked, pointing out that road access was required for responding apparatus and people. Units remained on scene while crews resumed efforts, and the public was encouraged to be informed about traffic and incident situations.
