Brookhaven FD Operates At The Scene Of A Mva

Brookhaven N.Y. - At approximately 3:01 PM on Monday , March 8th the Brookhaven fire department and the South Country Ambulance Company was activated for a motor vehicle accident in front of 2797 Montauk Highway. The first rescue truck on the road was 5-3-3 and arrived on scene to find they had a 2 mva with no one trapped in the cars . The second rescue tuck on the road was 5-3-4 and was under command by 1st lieutenant John Hodge jr. and arrived on scene and quickly went to work by securing the 2 cars that have been involved in the accident. Fire police also responded to the scene to help with traffic while firefighters cleaned up the accident. The South Country Ambulance Company responded with 2 ambulances and used both to transport 2 people with minor injuries to a local hospital. All units were back in service within 30 minutes.
