Westmere Fire Department Responds to Brandon Terrace Structure Fire

February 26, 2026 — At approximately 11:30 p.m., the Westmere Fire Department was dispatched to a reported bedroom fire on Brandon Terrace in the Town of Guilderland.


Upon arrival, crews encountered smoke and flames visible from a bedroom window. Firefighters initiated an interior attack and were able to contain the fire to the bedroom and nearby areas, preventing further spread throughout the home.

Several mutual aid agencies assisted during the incident, including the Guilderland Fire Department, Fort Hunter Fire Company, McKownville Fire Department (cover company), Guilderland Emergency Medical Services, the Guilderland Police Department, and the Town of Guilderland Fire Investigation Team.


Westmere officials expressed appreciation to their mutual aid partners for their rapid response and strong support during the late-night incident. The department also shared its thoughts with those affected by the fire.
