Fire Victim Transported

Fall River, Ma. Shorty after 7:00 pm, Sunday March 1st firefighters responded to 1138 N. Main Street for a still alarm. While enroute Command was notified that Police were on scene and reporting heavy black smoke showing. Engines 2, 6, 12, along with Ladder 4, Platform 1, and Heavy Rescue 1 responded on the first alarm and based on the report from police on scene Command called for Engine 9 to respond. Firefighters faced heavy fire on the top floor of a two and a half story wood frame structure and went to work. EMS personnel transported victims to Rhode Island Hospital Trauma Center. Firefighters made an aggressive interior attack and held the fire to the top floor with no extension.
