NEWBURGH, NY - Town of Newburgh Police received a call for a head-on collision on New Road, between North Plank Road and Weyants Lane, on February 28th. Cronomer Valley FD and Town of Newburgh EMS responded. One vehicle was off the roadway. Firefighters used cribbing to stabilize the vehicle and the Jaws to open the hood to disconnect the battery. The second vehicle was checked for hazards. New Road was shut down during the investigation. Town of Newburgh EMS evaluated both drivers at the scene. The Town of Newburgh Police Dept. is investigating the cause.
