February 15, 2026 — Franklin Fire Company deployed Engine 45 with a crew of three firefighters to provide coverage in West End–Shippensburg as crews there operated at a first-due mobile home fire. Chief 15 arrived on scene reporting visible fire conditions, prompting mutual aid and station coverage to ensure uninterrupted emergency protection for surrounding communities. While local units worked to contain the blaze, Franklin’s Engine 45 stood by to handle any additional calls for service in the district, underscoring the continued cooperation and coordination among neighboring departments. Officials noted that rapid response and mutual aid partnerships remain critical in effectively managing working structure fires and maintaining public safety.
