Campton, NH - Around 4: 30 am, February 16, 2026, Campton-Thornton Fire Rescue (CTFD) responded to assist the Lincoln Fire Department in New Hampshire with a reported building fire. Engine 3 arrived on scene to provide RIT standby, fire suppression, and overhaul operations.
Shortly after, Rescue 1 was requested to the scene. The crew utilized the on-board cascade system to refill approximately 25 SCBA air cylinders for firefighters actively engaged in firefighting operations. Additionally, the rescue’s light tower was deployed to illuminate the area.
Crews remained on scene for several hours, clearing around 8:30 p.m. before returning to their quarters to clean equipment and refill the cascade system.
CTFD is one of the few agencies in the region equipped with a cascade system and is always ready to support neighboring departments when needed.
