Madison County Assists Hardin Recovery Efforts

MADISON COUNTY, GA — January 27th — Following heavy storms, Madison County Fire Rescue sent out personnel of its Special Operations Division to Hardin County to help remove debris. In order to let people to safely vacate their properties and restore access for emergency equipment, crews collaborated with the Hardin County Fire Department to clear downed trees and unlock blocked roads.


The mission's main objectives were access, safety, and cooperation with regional and local partners. Debris clearance, according to officials, is essential to recovery and guarantees a quicker reaction during ongoing crises. Additional staff kept complete coverage in Madison area to safeguard locals as teams worked outside the area. Additionally, in order to establish a warming facility for affected residents, Chief Gay brought an Emergency Management Agency trailer to Decatur County.
