On February 24th at 7:05 pm the Lower Macungie and Emmaus Fire Departments and Greenawalds Fire Company for RIT and Macungie EMS were dispatched for a dwelling fire with entrapment at 99 south Lea st in the borough of Macungie. Macunge EMS arrived on the scene first and had a fire in the basement with heavy smoke showing, And rescued one victim from the house. Crews from Lower Macungie and Emmaus went into service and brought the fire under control and performed ventilation and overhaul.. The Woodlawn Fire Department was dispatched to the scene to fill air bottles and the Upper Milford Western District Fire Company was dispatched to station 81 to cover Lower macungie Township.
