GALETON, PA - Goodyear Hose Company of Galeton, PA responded to a house fire at 223 West Main Street in Galeton at 5:07 A.M. on January 9, 2024. Fully involved upon arrival, the photo shows the intensity of the fire which turned into a second-alarm. The fire marshal was dispatched to the location. The house was unoccupied at the time of the blaze. Goodyear would like to thank our mutual aid departments: Clymer, Coudersport, Wellsboro, Westfield, Germania, and Knoxville for their help. Also, a thank you to Galeton PD, Gale Hose Ambulance for coffee, and Murphy’s Pizza for providing breakfast pizzas to the crew.
