Quick Response Leads to Rapid Extrication After Sadsbury Township Crash

— September 29, 2026 — On Tuesday morning, firefighters and EMS teams arrived at the scene of a severe vehicle collision involving a tractor-trailer at the intersection of White Oak Road and Christiana Pike (PA Route 372) in Sadsbury Township.
The call was sent out around 9:14 a.m. for a vehicle collision involving reported entrapment. Bart Township Fire Company dispatched Squad 51, which arrived within less than three minutes staffed by five volunteers. Engine 51-2 was followed by five more firefighters, and QRS 51 sent two additional volunteers to help with patient care.
Fire police and Utility 51 assisted in managing traffic near the crash site.
When more information came to light, the incident was elevated to include a tractor-trailer. Rescue 42 from Gap Fire Company was called in to offer extra rescue resources. Also on the scene was Christiana Fire Company Chief 52, who responded to assist, along with other members from Bart Township.
When Squad 51 arrived, they found one person trapped and another injured. Firefighters initiated a rapid extrication, aided by Engine 51-2 and EMS staff.
Once the trapped occupant was extricated, responsibility for patient care was transferred to EMS teams for transport to a nearby trauma center. The extra rescue assignment was subsequently canceled.
