Navarre, Florida — January 31st — A structure fire in the 7000 block of Mossy Oaks Court was responded to by the Holley-Navarre Fire District. When engines 41 and 45 arrived, they discovered a gazebo fire that had spread to the house because of the wind. Navarre Beach Engine 49, Midway Fire District Engines 37 and 35, and command personnel provided support to HNFD Squad 44.

Firefighters set up a water supply, deployed several handlines, and attempted to prevent the fire from spreading to other exposures. In order to verify that the house was vacant, crews performed both primary and secondary searches. The detached garage, gazebo, and house were all severely damaged in the fire. There were no reported injuries. Officials emphasized the importance of early discovery, coordinated efforts, and solid mutual aid agreements, pointing out that wind-driven flames can spread swiftly.
