Navarre, Florida — January 24th — Eastbound traffic on Highway 98 near Rosewood Drive, in front of the Wynn Haven Publix, was momentarily halted due to a vehicle fire that was responded to by the Holley-Navarre Fire District. When crews discovered an active fire, they promptly set up hose lines to contain and put out the car. Firefighters secured the area, looked for fuel leaks, and made sure no one was hurt or exposed.

While procedures were in progress, all eastbound traffic was stopped. Traffic management and vehicle rerouting were aided by law enforcement. After the area was cleared, the road was reopened. In order to protect responders and the public, officials advised cars to slow down and remain vigilant in the vicinity of emergency operations.
