ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY - On Tuesday, February 6th, at approximately 1:00 P.M., the Rockville Centre Fire Department was dispatched to a building fire at K&K Auto and Tire Center located at 224 North Long Beach Road. First arriving units encountered heavy fire in an auto shop. Firefighters placed multiple hose lines and one deck gun in operation. The fire was knocked down in 25 minutes. Mutual aid was provided by Lynbrook FD, Malverne FD, Hempstead FD, Lakeview FD, Baldwin FD, Oceanside FD, and East Rockaway FD. No injuries were reported. All units operated under the command of Rockville Centre FD Chief of Department, Scott Mohr. The fire is under investigation.
