City of Vergennes Fire Department Assists at Charlotte Structure Fire

February 10, 2026 — At approximately 9:58 p.m., the City of Vergennes Fire Department was dispatched as mutual aid to Roscoe Road in Charlotte for a reported wood shed fire connected to a two-story single-family home.
Upon arrival, Vergennes crews integrated with Charlotte Fire & Rescue and assisting agencies to support defensive fire operations and overhaul. A total of 17 Vergennes firefighters responded, including 12 members certified in SCBA operations.
Fire conditions required a coordinated multi-department response. No injuries were reported.
