February 11, 2026 — Members of the Coeymans Hollow Volunteer Fire Corp. gathered for their regularly scheduled drill night, focusing on essential skills to ensure operational readiness and firefighter safety. The evening began with hands-on training in properly donning gear and reviewing the correct packing and use of self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA). Firefighters then shifted attention to search and rescue procedures, practicing various techniques used during interior operations while reinforcing the critical role of communication between partners and command officers. A detailed review of Mayday procedures further emphasized the department’s commitment to safety and preparedness. To conclude the session, members performed routine maintenance on their air packs, including battery replacements and thorough equipment checks to confirm readiness for immediate service. The department remains dedicated to meeting emergency response needs 24 hours a day, seven days a week, both within its district and in support of neighboring agencies. Officials also encourage community members interested in serving to reach out via social media, contact a current member, or stop by the firehouse during Tuesday night drills to learn more about joining the organization.
