Rochester, NY - On Saturday, February 20th at 3:23 P.M., the Rochester Fire Department was dispatched for a report of a building fire at Javier's Collision and Auto Repair, located at 41 Lyell Avenue.

Upon arrival, fire crews found heavy smoke coming from a one-story brick and block auto repair shop, that was connected to a two-story building.

There were initially some issues with water supply, as one hydrant gate blew off the first hydrant and the second hydrant was dead. The blaze was brought under control in about 45 minutes.

All the shops' employees were able to safely evacuate the structure, and there were no civilian or firefighter injuries.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
