Chatham Emergency Services Welcomes New Recruits at CAPS Class 185 Graduation

February 9, 2026 – Chatham Emergency Services attended the Chatham Apprentice Program for Savannah (CAPS) Graduation for Class 185, celebrating the achievements of participants completing the workforce development initiative through Step Up Savannah. During the ceremony, CES proudly recognized four new EMT recruits and one Emergency Medical Dispatcher who will soon begin serving the community. Department officials expressed gratitude for the partnership with CAPS and Step Up Savannah, noting that programs like these create meaningful career pathways while strengthening the region’s emergency response capabilities. The addition of the new team members marks a continued investment in professional growth, public service and the future of emergency medical services in Chatham County.
