The shelter, located at 10 Court Street, will only open when temperatures reach minus 10 degrees Fahrenheit, including wind chill, and only when officially activated by the state. Residents must call 211 to confirm whether the shelter is open. Guests will be required to sign in at 6:30 p.m. and depart by 7:30 a.m. Cots and bedding will be provided, and guests will not be permitted to return if they leave during overnight hours.
