VENICE, FL — February 11th — This week, Venice Fire Rescue, located at 200 N Grove St., Venice, FL, finished live fire training at Sarasota Technical College. The training focused on coordinated operations and critical fireground abilities. In a controlled environment created to mimic actual emergency situations, firefighters rehearsed inside attack, search, and ventilation.

According to officials, live fire training is still essential for personnel to maintain their preparedness for complicated situations and for achieving state and federal regulations. Additionally, under actual stress, the curriculum placed a strong emphasis on communication, teamwork, and safety protocols. According to the agency, continuous training ensures crews are equipped to safeguard local people and guests by fostering professional growth and enhancing regional collaboration through the use of common facilities and resources.
