ORMOND BEACH, FL — January 19th — On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the Ormond Beach Fire Department, located at 364 S. Atlantic Avenue, Ormond Beach, FL, 32176, honored Dr. King's legacy of service, bravery, and solidarity. According to officials, the agency is still committed to upholding community safety while encouraging equity, dignity, and fair treatment for all locals.

Throughout the holiday, emergency operations persisted, with EMS and firemen on standby to handle calls throughout the city. Fire personnel pointed out that Dr. King's message and the fire department both rely heavily on public trust, community outreach, and collaboration. In order to strengthen the close ties between first responders and the community, the department urged locals to commemorate the day by volunteering, becoming involved in the community, and supporting local public safety initiatives.
