SANTA ROSA BEACH, FL — January 19th — In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the South Walton Fire District, located at 911 N County Highway 393, Santa Rosa Beach, FL, 32459, declared that its administrative offices will be closed on Monday. Normal business hours will resume on Tuesday. Field and emergency operations will go on as planned. To react to calls around the district, firefighters and emergency medical services teams will continue to be on duty.

The holiday honors Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy of leadership, equality, and service, according to district officials. In the event of a fire, medical, or public safety issue, residents were reminded to dial 9-1-1 and that emergency services are always accessible. Additionally, the district urged the community to embrace neighborhood volunteer initiatives and consider the ideals of service.
