At 4:57 p.m. on January 23, the Glover Volunteer Fire Department and Glover Ambulance Squad responded to a complaint of a two-vehicle head-on incident on Dry Pond Road (VT Route 16) at Square Road. Rescue 1 and Engine 3 responded with four firefighters.
When crews arrived, they discovered that both vehicles had sustained substantial damage. Firefighters helped with patient care and scene safety, while EMS assessed the occupants. One operator was treated and taken by ambulance for injuries that were not life-threatening. The second operator was uninjured. Route 16 was closed in both directions for a period of time while responders worked to assist the patient and clear the roadway. Both vehicles were removed by Wright’s Towing. Officials reminded drivers to use caution on rural roads, especially during winter conditions.
