SHELDON, NY — February 9th — Bennington Fire Co. recently conducted a joint training session for Sheldon Volunteer Fire Co. members, which improved collaboration between the two mutual assistance agencies. During multi-company reactions, the training concentrated on coordinated tactics, unified leadership, and fireground communication. To increase productivity and firefighter safety, crews practiced hose deployment, went over standard operating protocols, and worked through realistic scenarios.

Since neighboring departments often work together on structure fires, rescues, and other major incidents, training with them is still an important component of preparedness. In addition to thanking Bennington Fire Co. for hosting, Sheldon Volunteer Fire Co. stressed that ongoing cooperative training fosters solid regional alliances and dependable emergency response throughout the areas they serve.
