February 12, 2026 — Amherst Fire and EMS crews responded to a reported building fire in Mont Vernon at approximately 8:26 a.m. Units including Ambulance 1, Engine 1, and Tanker 1 were dispatched to the area of Spring Hill Road after reports of a structure fire. Upon arrival, firefighters began operations to assess conditions and work toward containing the blaze. Emergency personnel remained on scene managing fire suppression efforts and ensuring the safety of any occupants and surrounding properties.
