GLASSBORO, NJ - Gloucester County has seen an exceptional amount of fire duty so far this year and on February 12, 2026, Glassboro added one more to the count.

At approximately 10:05 a.m., the Gloucester County Fire Alarm Room dispatched the Glassboro Fire Department and automatic aid companies to 314 Franklin Avenue for the report of a dwelling fire. The box was upgraded to people reported trapped, as occupants were unaccounted for.

Upon arrival, heavy fire was showing from the rear of the two-story, wood-frame, single-family dwelling. The fire reportedly started on the deck and quickly spread to the first and second floors. Companies quickly deployed hoselines to knock the fire and initiated searches. The searches proved negative, and the fire was brought under control in about 30 minutes.
