Electrical Issue Prompts Multi-Town Fire Response at Oradell School

Oradell, NJ - At approximately 2:30 p.m on 30th March 2026, a Tri-Boro Box Alarm was activated following reports of a fire at St. Joseph’s Elementary School in Oradell. Firefighters from Oradell, River Edge, and New Milford responded promptly to the scene.

Upon arrival, crews found smoke in the hallways and inside a classroom. An initial investigation determined that the cause was an electrical issue in one of the classrooms.


The school had already been evacuated safely before firefighters arrived, and no injuries were reported.
