On February 8, 2026, at approximately 1700 hours, Carsonville Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to assist EMS with a medical emergency requiring air transport. An engine responded directly to the scene while the company’s brush unit and an engine from Station 29 (Halifax) established a secure landing zone at the Wayne Township building. Fire crews coordinated with EMS to ensure a safe and efficient transfer of the patient to the awaiting medical helicopter. After the ambulance and engine met the aircraft and the patient was transferred, units cleared the scene. Crews remained committed for approximately one hour, demonstrating seamless inter-agency cooperation to provide rapid advanced medical care.
