Six Calls Before 12:30 PM on February 11th

CLINTON, CT — February 11th — The Clinton Volunteer Fire Department responded to six calls for service before 12:30 p.m., with crews working on three different incidents at the same time.

A motor vehicle accident involving a damaged utility pole, a vehicle fire on Interstate 95, and smoke from an appliance fire at a residence were among the incidents reported. Members also dealt with a carbon monoxide alert and a medical reaction. During the same time period, an engine, tanker, and 12 firefighters were dispatched as mutual aid to assist the Killingworth Volunteer Fire Company with a minor external house fire.

According to department data, 283 contacts have been documented so far in 2026, indicating consistent activity throughout what were previously thought to be slower winter months.
