East Brentwood Fire Department Celebrates Black History Month, Honors Legacy of Courage and Service

February 2, 2026 — The East Brentwood Fire Department proudly recognized the start of Black History Month, reaffirming its commitment to honoring the history, achievements, and enduring contributions of Black Americans within the fire service and throughout the community. Department officials emphasized that the month serves not only as a time of reflection, but also as a celebration of courage, resilience, leadership, and unity. EBFD expressed pride in serving a diverse community and highlighted its dedication to inclusion, respect, and equal opportunity in both emergency response and public service. The department stated that recognizing Black history strengthens the bonds within the community and reinforces the shared mission of protecting and serving with professionalism and integrity throughout the year.
