Ashby, MA — January 19th — In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the Ashby FIRE EMS Association Inc. joined communities nationwide. Martin Luther King Jr.'s efforts to promote equality, justice, and nonviolent change are honored on this date. Emergency services personnel are still guided by Dr. King's message of service.

His famous query, "What are you doing for others?" captures the essence of what firemen and emergency medical services perform on a daily basis. In addition to being a national day of service, Martin Luther King Jr. Day promotes community service and voluntarism. In observance of the day, departments across Massachusetts remained fully prepared for any response and reaffirmed their dedication to provide equitable and professional services to all citizens.
