Ashby, MA — January 17th — At the intersection of Main Street and Ipswich Road, Ashby FIRE EMS Association Inc. units responded to a car accident. When crews arrived, they discovered damaged cars obstructing a portion of the road.

While EMS assessed occupants, firefighters secured the area, steadied the vehicles, and looked for fluid leaks. During operations, Ashby Police helped manage traffic and steered cars away from the intersection. Temporary lane closures are frequently necessary for incidents at major roads in order to provide safe access for emergency personnel and tow companies.

Until the road was cleared, drivers were asked to look for other routes. Local authorities are still investigating the crash.
