PORT WASHINGTON, NY - On January 17th, the Port Washington Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident near the intersection of Old Shore Road and Pleasant Avenue. Upon arrival, firemen discovered that the vehicle was vacant. Before the department arrived, the motorist had self-extricated and reported no injuries. Crews secured the situation and investigated for potential risks. A communications box and an adjacent utility pole both sustained damage. Verizon and PSE&G were alerted to respond and resolve the utility issues.
