On January 20th, the Danbury Fire Department responded to a working house fire in the Middle River area after receiving an automatic fire alarm at 4:56 p.m. from a residence on Richter Drive. While Engine 25 from South King Street and Truck 1 from headquarters were en route, dispatch received a confirmation call that the residence was on fire. Engine 25 arrived moments after, reporting a working fire. A Danbury police officer aided the occupants in moving from their home to a nearby residence. Under the direction of an acting lieutenant, Engine 25 launched an aggressive fire attack that swiftly knocked down the main body of fire.
