Monroe, CT - First responders were dispatched after a vehicle crashed into the Aldi market on Monroe Turnpike, causing significant damage to the building.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported. However, the structure sustained considerable impact damage and remains closed to customers pending evaluation by structural engineers.
Firefighters worked to secure the scene by addressing utilities and mitigating potential hazards. Multiple agencies responded and operated on scene, including the fire department, police, EMS, Fire Marshal, Trumbull Building Department, Monroe Health Department, the First Selectman, and a tow operator.
