Botsford, CT — February 7th — Earlier afternoon, Botsford Fire Rescue responded to a general commercial fire alarm. When firemen arrived, they were informed by property workers of a considerable water flow coming from the rear of the structure. Crews examined and discovered a failure in one of the building's riser systems. Due to the volume of water, Aquarion Water Company was requested as a priority in the event that a street-level shutoff was required. The Newtown Fire Marshal was also called to the site.
