February 6, 2026 — Bryan County Fire & Rescue has announced it is now accepting applications for a full-time Fire Lieutenant position, offering an opportunity for experienced firefighters to step into a key leadership role within the department. The Fire Lieutenant will be responsible for supervising firefighting and rescue operations, responding to emergency incidents, providing emergency medical care, and overseeing daily shift activities. In addition to operational leadership, the position plays a vital role in firefighter training, fire safety education, incident documentation, and maintaining overall readiness to serve the community. Department officials noted the role is well-suited for motivated firefighters ready to lead teams during both emergency responses and routine operations while supporting the department’s mission of public safety and service excellence.
